What You'll Do As our Radiation Safety Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's radiation safety program while supporting field operations and fostering a strong culture of safety. Key Responsibilities * Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's Radiation Safety Program * Ensure compliance with NRC, Agreement State, federal, state, and local regulations * Maintain radioactive material licenses and regulatory documentation * Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and inspectors * Conduct radiation safety training and mentoring for employees * Perform audits, inspections, and program assessments * Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions * Develop and enhance safety policies, procedures, and best practices * Support field operations with on-site radiation safety guidance when required * Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications * Current qualifications to serve as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) * Strong knowledge of NRC and/or Agreement State regulations * Experience managing radiation safety programs and compliance requirements * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and make sound decisions * Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities * Willingness to travel occasionally and support field operations when needed
Preferred Qualifications * Industrial radiography experience * Experience managing radioactive material licenses * Previous leadership or supervisory experience * ASNT certifications or additional NDT experience a plus * Experience working in construction, energy, manufacturing, or industrial environments
