About the role

Feyen Zylstra is a team of hardworking doers and thinkers proud to use our brains and brawn to solve the complex problems associated with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and low voltage systems. We tend to work in industries like healthcare, industrial manufacturing, commercial, and data centers where our customers benefit most from our technical expertise and the experience we provide them.

We exist to have a positive impact on the lives of people. This starts with our FZers and a commitment to providing safe and energizing work environments, opportunities to learn and grow, and great pay and benefits. It then moves to our customers and a passion for helping them solve their most challenging problems. When we are successful in meeting the needs of our employees and our customers, we have the opportunity to have a positive impact well beyond ourselves in each of the communities where we live and work.

FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

FZ is looking for an entry-level, on-site Project Administrator to support multiple electrical projects in Charleston. This role is responsible for providing on-site administrative support to a variety of internal and external customers for large, electrical projects. This role will play a large part in executing a successful project due to being highly responsive, reliable, and accurate.

What We’re Looking for:

* An Information Seeker. Your natural bias is to act to keep projects moving forward. You are comfortable taking ownership of gathering information and have found ways to ensure you're able to track down the right information, whenever it’s needed.  * Detail Oriented. You understand the importance of the details and that accuracy is paramount. No matter what the task, from reports to meeting minutes and all the data entry in-between, you ensure your work is professional and error-free. You know that a deadline is a detail and that deadlines must be met. * A Multi-Tasker. You manage your time and work effectively.  With a variety of plates spinning in the air, you know that document control is critical information and prioritize updates. Even though the construction industry is a fast-paced one, above all, you remain calm, showing professionalism and integrity in all you do. * A Trusted Partner. You enjoy being on the jobsite each day because you can see that your work directly impacts our “field first” focus and the bottom line of the company. You take pride in being seen as reliable and the team knows you can be counted on for that daily attendance report. * A Relationship Builder. Whether it’s with a customer, a coworker, supplier or vendor, you value the importance of relationships. You communicate effectively and often. You collaborate with others and treat everyone with respect.

Key Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED required. * Minimum of 2 years of professional office experience - required; construction or electrical administrative experience -  preferred. * Computer Skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, etc.) - required; Bluebeam Rev -  preferred. * Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines. * Flexibility and tenacity to meet the demands of each day. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Team player mentality and willingness to go above and beyond to help the team as needed. * Open to change based on diverse input and feedback.

We offer generous benefits, competitive compensation, paid time off, training and development, the opportunity for growth, a safe work environment, and the chance to work with a winning team in a great company culture. Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen. FZ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected classes.
