We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Olympic as our new Full Time Server Assistant at The George Restaurant! The George is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Server Assistant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
* Support the servers in creating an outstanding dining experience for our guests by ensuring their needs are met promptly * Set up and prepare dining areas, including arranging table settings and maintaining cleanliness and organization * Welcome guests, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere * Assist in clearing and resetting tables efficiently to ensure smooth service flow * Aid in the delivery of food and beverages to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation * Respond to guest inquiries and special requests with courtesy and professionalism
Qualifications
What will you bring to this role?
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or equivalent required * At least two years high volume restaurant serving experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions. * Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected * Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times * Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment * Previous experience as a server assistant or similar role is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate * A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences * Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays * Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team * Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA * Food Handlers Card and MAST permit required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking * Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height * Must be able to perform duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
