Are you a driven professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping businesses stay financially healthy? We're looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in managing customer accounts, improving cash flow, and delivering excellent customer service.
In this role, you'll work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive business relationships.
What You'll Do
* Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable balances. * Contact customers regarding past-due invoices via phone and email. * Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes. * Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on payment commitments. * Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer interactions. * Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to resolve account issues. * Reconcile customer accounts and assist with payment application. * Review account status and escalate delinquent accounts when necessary. * Prepare and maintain collection and aging reports.
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years of collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related experience. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and effectively. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Experience with ERP, accounting, or CRM systems preferred. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
