Ride Operator – Traders Village Houston (WEEKEND ONLY) Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9 AM – Close
Job Overview: Provide guests especially children with a safe and enjoyable amusement ride experience. This role requires attention to detail, patience, and excellent customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain ride area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
* Follow all ride policies and procedures while operating the ride.
* Stay alert and aware of safety regulations at all times.
* Collect ride tickets and load guests safely, securing all straps, belts, and latches.
* Monitor the ride and guests while the ride is in motion.
* Assist guests off the ride once it comes to a complete stop.
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Must be at least 17 years old
* No prior experience necessary — training provided.
* Must complete a two-week ride-training program and pass the written test.
* Must be available to work every weekend.
* Ability to lift and push a minimum of 35 lbs.
* Must be patient with children.
* Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
* Ability to understand and follow directions.
* Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
* Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and work in both heat and cold.
