Job Description

Location: Warrington

We’re looking for an MHE Instructor to support our colleagues at our Warrington Fulfilment Centre. You’ll deliver engaging equipment and manual handling training, helping people develop the skills and confidence to work safely, efficiently and professionally.

You’ll be the main point of contact for MHE-related training and safety across the site. Alongside delivering practical and classroom-based training, you’ll manage licences and reassessments, support safety inspections and help keep our equipment safe, reliable and available. Success in this role means well-trained colleagues, accurate compliance records and safe working practices that continue beyond the training room.

Core Responsibilities

* Deliver practical and classroom-based MHE and manual handling training * Coach colleagues to develop safe, efficient and professional working behaviours * Manage training records, licences and reassessments to maintain operational compliance * Plan and prioritise training around the needs of a busy fulfilment operation * Conduct equipment, racking and facility inspections to maintain high safety standards * Complete relevant risk assessments and contribute to site safety audits * Investigate and report MHE or environmental incidents, ensuring actions are recorded and followed through * Coordinate the maintenance of the onsite MHE fleet to support safe and reliable equipment availability * Champion positive safety behaviours outside formal training and refresher sessions * Collaborate with teams across the site to improve training, equipment use and ways of working

Who you are

* Experienced in delivering MHE training within a warehouse, fulfilment, manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environment * Comfortable delivering both practical, on-the-floor training and classroom-based learning * Able to adapt your coaching and communication style for colleagues with different levels of experience * Familiar with managing MHE training records, licences, reassessments and compliance documentation * Knowledgeable about warehouse safety, equipment inspections and risk assessments * Organised and able to schedule training around changing operational priorities * Confident identifying unsafe behaviours and providing clear, constructive feedback * Comfortable investigating incidents and ensuring actions are completed * Collaborative and able to build effective working relationships across operational teams * Proactive in identifying training gaps, resolving safety concerns and improving how training is delivered

Qualifications

* A valid RTITB or equivalent MHE instructor qualification covering relevant equipment, including counterbalance trucks, very narrow aisle trucks and powered pallet trucks
