Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring patients receive quality and compassionate care. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you¿ll perform a blend of administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care. Your contributions directly enhance the patient experience and the efficiency of our healthcare team.

What You Will Do
* Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. * Obtain and document accurate medical histories to support patient care. * Measure and record vital signs, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments. * Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed. * Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient flow.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. * Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description. * Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
* Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. * EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.

Qualifications
Additional Requirements: • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. • Must Successfully complete all components of Ambulatory orientation as defined by Henry Ford Health.
