Delaware Elevator of Virginia has an immediate opening for skilled Elevator Service Technicians to maintain, service, and repair elevators throughout the Norfolk and Virginia Beach region. What You’ll Do
As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and reliable vertical transportation systems across private and public facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair, maintain, adjust, and test mechanical and electrical elevator systems * Diagnose performance issues and determine root causes quickly and accurately * Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs * Respond to service calls, including customer emergencies and entrapments * Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation * Work independently to meet customer needs efficiently and professionally * Travel as needed (occasional overnight stays possible) * Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and equipment handling as required
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 5 years of experience working independently as an Elevator Mechanic/Technician * Valid elevator mechanic credentials * State elevator license considered with additional years of experience * Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills * Ability to meet fit-for-duty physical requirements * High attention to detail and commitment to safety * Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
