THE JOB
Burns Waste is hiring a Front Load Driver responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front load trucks to service commercial and construction customers. This role plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring timely pickups, safe transport, and professional customer interaction.
This position requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, along with the ability to work independently and stay on schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Safely operate front-load and roll-off trucks to service assigned routes * Pick up, transport, and deliver waste and recyclable materials to designated facilities * Ensure proper loading, securement, and transport * Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition * Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards * Accurately complete required documentation * Communicate effectively with dispatch * Place containers properly to avoid damage, obstruction, or safety issues * Perform basic truck checks (fluids, tires, cleanliness) and report maintenance needs * Keep equipment clean and presentable * Provide professional, courteous service at all customer locations
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
* Valid CDL Class A * Clean driving record and ability to pass MVR screening * Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and Clearinghouse query * Experience operating front load trucks preferred * Strong understanding of safety practices and DOT compliance * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively * Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions
