Job Description
We are seeking an Ink Maker to work with us. We have a very competitive starting pay plus a shift differential when applicable. The person in this role will tend mills in a safe and efficient manner to grind the raw materials for manufacturing of high-quality printing ink. As an Ink Maker/Ink Tech, you will be responsible for:
* Following batch instructions to weight batches, charge and mix inks * Understanding proper mixing procedures and raw materials * Monitoring temperature and mix speeds and adjusting as needed * Following procedures for milling inks, adjusting pump speeds and mill rates * Following procedures to filter, package and label inks * Making QC adjustments as instructed * Weighting quantities of raw materials for use in the manufacturing of high quality printing ink * Operating one or more mixers in a safe and efficient manner to mix raw materials for the manufacturing of high quality printing ink * Packaging the finished product * Operating a forklift
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
* Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent * Have previous manufacturing experience of at least 6 months * Have forklift experience * Be able to lift up to 50 lbs * Have basic math, communications and mechanical skills * Be capable of managing multiple tasks * Demonstrate good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Office) programs
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:
* Understanding of 5S workplace * Knowledge of TPM * Ability to work 10-hour shifts * Ability to work overtime and on weekends
