Hiring Range: $47,319 - $52,050 DOQ Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Benefits
What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our Transit team, this role involves performing security and safety duties to protect Transit property, staff, customers, and the public.
Responsibilities include:
Safety and Security Patrols Incident Response and Reporting Patrols are conducted regularly to ensure safety and Engages with dispatch and management about incidents, security, including monitoring traffic, CCTV, and alarms, as addresses complaints and illegal activities, collaborates well as establishing a presence on buses. with law enforcement when needed, investigates, and files timely reports. Customer Service and Rule Enforcement Policy Development and Training Provides assistance and information at transit stations, Creates policies and training programs, liaises with law enforces rules, and addresses complaints and incidents enforcement, helps with fare collections, and follows safety effectively. protocols and directives from superiors.

Minimum Qualifications
* High School diploma, vocational/technical diploma, or equivalent training and experience. * Two (2) years of law enforcement, security or related experience, * Must be able to operate a radio, tablet/iPad, cellphone, computer, and related software. * Proficiency in using computer systems and the software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential (ex. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
Special Requirements
* High School diploma, vocational/technical diploma, or equivalent training and experience. * Virginia DCJS approved Security Officer Training with Firearm Certification or the ability to acquire within ninety (90) days of employment * CPR and First Aid certifications, or the ability to acquire within ninety (90) days of employment. * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Climb and descend steps. * Ability to walk approximately ¼ mile in all weather * Ability to bend at the knees or squat to perform various job related functions * Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
