UCCA is seeking passionate early childhood educators to lead NC Pre-K classrooms serving preschool-aged children. The Teacher creates engaging learning environments that support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development while promoting school readiness and family engagement.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)

Eligibility, funding, program availability, and award amounts are determined by NC Early Years and may vary by county.
What You’ll Do * Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum * Support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth * Assess and monitor children’s developmental progress * Maintain classroom records and documentation * Partner with families to support student success * Ensure compliance with NC Pre-K and licensing standards
Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required * NC Pre-K qualifications and licensure requirements required * Experience working in preschool or Pre-K settings preferred * CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain * Strong classroom management and communication skills * Valid driver’s license required * Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.
Physical Requirements Must be able to actively supervise preschool-aged children, move throughout classroom and outdoor learning environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
