What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements. * Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications. * Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers. * Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget. * Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports. * Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
What You Bring
* 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience working with both real-time and historical data. * Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures. * Experience working in Unix/Linux environments. * Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC. * Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team. * Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders * Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is advantageous but not essential
Bonus Skills (Not Essential):
* Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking. * Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms, or other time-series databases. * Exposure to AI tooling (Claude, Co-Pilot) * Exposure to project leadership or people management. * Contribution to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.
