About the role

πŸš€ About WRITER

WRITER is where the world's leading enterprises orchestrate AI-powered work. Our vision is to expand human capacity through super-intelligence. And we're proving it's possible – through powerful, trustworthy AI that unites IT and business teams together to unlock enterprise-wide transformation. With WRITER's end-to-end platform, hundreds of companies like Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard are building and deploying AI agents that are grounded in their company's data and fueled by WRITER's enterprise-grade LLMs. Valued at $1.9B and backed by industry-leading investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, WRITER is rapidly cementing its position as the leader in enterprise generative AI.

Founded in 2020 with office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Austin, Chicago, and London, our team thinks big and moves fast, and we're looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work with AI.

πŸ“ About the role

Join WRITER's sales team as a strategic account executive and help shape the future of work. You'll empower global enterprises (8,000+ employees) to transform their operations through our cutting-edge AI agent platform, enabling organizations to deploy AI at scale and unlock unprecedented productivity. This isn't just about hitting quota – it's about becoming a trusted advisor to some of the world's most influential companies as they navigate their AI transformation journey.

This role is perfect for high performers who thrive in fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environments where you have the autonomy to drive results and build lasting relationships with both clients and teammates. If you're energized by meaningful work, the opportunity to make a real impact, and the challenge of selling category-defining technology, we want to hear from you. You'll be selling solutions that fundamentally change how enterprises operate, working with executive buyers who are making multi-million dollar, multi-year commitments to AI transformation.

This is a hybrid role based out of our London hub. You'll be reporting to our regional vice president.

πŸ¦ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ What you need

* 7-10+ years of quota-carrying strategic SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual quotas in complex, value-based sales motions targeting Fortune 500 and Global 2000 financial services accounts

* Deep understanding of the UK and European financial services landscape β€” banking, asset management, insurance, and fintech β€” including its regulatory environment, buying cycles, and communication standards

* Demonstrated expertise in managing sophisticated enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, navigating procurement and security processes, and orchestrating cross-functional resources to drive deals through technical evaluations and executive approvals

* Executive presence and communication skills that allow you to credibly engage with C-suite buyers (CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, COOs), translate complex technical concepts into business value, and build authentic relationships based on trust and strategic insight

* Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to conduct discovery that uncovers underlying business challenges, connects AI capabilities to measurable outcomes, and creates urgency around transformation initiatives in regulated industries

* Experience in outbound prospecting, account mapping, and territory planning, with a hunter mentality that drives you to consistently create new opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads

* Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for ownership β€” you thrive in fast-paced environments where you're expected to figure things out, make decisions with incomplete information, and drive your own success with minimal oversight

* Deep alignment with WRITER's values: you naturally Connect across functions and build collaborative relationships, you Challenge the status quo and aren't afraid to have difficult conversations, and you Own your outcomes with accountability and a commitment to long-term impact

⭐️ Is this you?

* You've sold into financial services institutions and understand what it takes to navigate complex, regulated buying environments β€” from security and compliance reviews to board-level approvals

* You're a closer who has consistently carried and exceeded seven-figure quotas, and you can point to deals where you created the opportunity from scratch rather than working an inbound lead

* You think like a consultant but sell like a hunter β€” your discovery uncovers pain buyers didn't know they had, and your storytelling connects AI to outcomes that matter to a CIO and a CFO alike

* You understand the UK FS market specifically β€” the players, the regulators, the buying rhythms β€” and you have or can build a network that opens doors

* You're comfortable in the boardroom and the back office β€” equally credible presenting an AI transformation vision to an exec team and working through the technical and procurement details with the people who sign off

* You move fast, own your number, and don't wait to be told what to do next

Preferred skills

* Existing network and relationships within UK or European financial services institutions

* Background in management consulting, particularly with FS clients

* Experience selling AI, data, or enterprise platform deals into regulated industries

* Familiarity with the compliance, security, and governance requirements that shape FS buying decisions

* Experience supporting or leading large-scale rollouts or change management programs

* Strong storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences

🍩 Benefits & perks (UK full-time employees):

* Generous PTO, plus company holidays

* Comprehensive medical and dental insurance

* Paid parental leave for all parents (16 weeks)

* Fertility and family planning support

* Early-detection cancer testing through Galleri

* Competitive pension scheme and company contribution

* Annual work-life stipends for: * Wellness stipend for gym, massage/chiropractor, personal training, etc. * Learning and development stipend

* Company-wide off-sites and team off-sites

* Competitive compensation and company stock options
