About the role

About the Role

HistoWiz is seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Manager, Marketing to own and scale integrated marketing programs that build brand awareness, create demand, and contribute measurable commercial pipeline. This role is ideal for a modern life-sciences marketer who can pair strong fundamentals in content, digital, events, email, and campaign management with an AI-first approach to how marketing work gets researched, produced, personalized, optimized, and measured. Working closely with the Sales, Technical and Business Partners, this person will translate scientific and technical capabilities into clear market-facing stories, develop campaigns for researchers and life-science organizations, and build repeatable systems that turn engagement into qualified opportunities. The Senior Manager will be expected to move comfortably between strategy and execution: setting priorities in the morning, building or reviewing the campaign in the afternoon, and using the data to improve it the next day. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer and operator, analytically minded, curious about emerging AI capabilities, and comfortable testing new tools and channels while maintaining high standards for scientific accuracy, brand quality, privacy, and responsible use of AI.

Key Responsibilities

Integrated Marketing Strategy & Commercial Alignment •  Develop and execute quarterly and annual integrated marketing plans aligned with HistoWiz commercial priorities, product/service launches, target customer segments, and revenue goals. •  Own audience segmentation, positioning, messaging, campaign briefs, channel strategy, and go-to-market coordination for priority offerings and markets. •  Partner with Sales, Business Development, scientific, pathology, operations, and product teams to convert customer needs and technical capabilities into compelling campaigns and sales-enablement materials. Demand Generation, Lifecycle Marketing & Growth •  Build and optimize multi-channel demand-generation programs across email, LinkedIn, paid digital, webinars, conferences, partnerships, website/landing pages, and targeted account-based campaigns. •  Own HubSpot campaign architecture, segmentation, lead nurturing, lifecycle workflows, lead scoring, handoff to commercial teams (via NetSuite), and ongoing funnel optimization. •  Design structured A/B and multivariate tests across creative, offers, messages, audiences, landing pages, and nurture sequences to continuously improve conversion and campaign ROI. AI-Driven Marketing & Automation •  Make generative AI a practical part of the marketing operating model: use AI to accelerate research, ideation, drafting, content repurposing, personalization, competitive synthesis, campaign analysis, and production workflows while maintaining human review for scientific and brand accuracy. •  Develop reusable AI workflows, prompt libraries, templates, and automated processes that increase marketing lead generation – feeding sales qualified leads in NetSuite Content, Thought Leadership & Brand •  Own the editorial and campaign content calendar across social media, email, blogs, webinars, case studies, white papers, technical content, customer stories, company updates, and product/service announcements. •  Translate complex scientific, histology, pathology, and technical information into clear, credible content for researchers, biotech/pharma teams, and other life-science audiences. •  Develop executive and company thought-leadership programs, particularly on LinkedIn, and create systematic ways to repurpose high-value technical material into multiple formats and channels. •  Maintain consistent HistoWiz messaging, visual identity, and quality standards across internal and external marketing materials. Search, Website & Digital Discovery •  Own ongoing website and landing-page optimization, including conversion paths, calls to action, user journeys, campaign pages, and performance improvements. •  Lead organic search strategy across traditional SEO as well as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), improving HistoWiz visibility in both search engines and AI-generated answers. Marketing Operations, Analytics & Performance •  Create dashboards and recurring performance reviews that connect marketing activity to business outcomes, including sourced and influenced pipeline, qualified leads, conversion rates, campaign ROI, channel efficiency, engagement, and organic visibility. •  Maintain strong CRM (Hubspot / Netsuite) and campaign data hygiene, attribution discipline, UTM standards, audience definitions, and reporting consistency across marketing programs. •  Turn performance data into decisions: identify what to stop, continue, scale Events, Partnerships & Cross-Functional Execution •  Lead marketing strategy and execution around conferences, webinars, workshops, partner programs, and scientific events, including pre-event targeting, on-site activation, and post-event lead conversion. •  Coordinate internal teams, external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed to deliver high-quality campaigns on schedule and within budget. •  Manage multiple concurrent priorities with clear owners, timelines, dependencies, and follow-through in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

•  5+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, content marketing, or integrated marketing; experience operating at a Manager or Senior Manager level strongly preferred. •  Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. •  Demonstrated ability to build and execute integrated campaigns that generate measurable demand, qualified leads, pipeline, or revenue impact. •  Excellent writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make technical or scientific concepts clear without oversimplifying them. •  Hands-on experience with marketing automation/CRM platforms such as HubSpot, including segmentation, campaigns, workflows, nurturing, lead management, and reporting. •  Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, website/landing-page optimization, email marketing, social media, analytics, and conversion testing. •  Meaningful hands-on experience using generative AI tools in real marketing workflows, with sound judgment about where AI adds leverage and where human expertise must remain in the loop. •  Analytical mindset with comfort using data to diagnose funnel performance, prioritize opportunities, and measure business impact. •  Strong project-management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional execution across scientific, commercial, creative, and operational stakeholders. •  Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where the role requires both strategic thinking and direct execution.

Nice to Have

•  Experience in biotech, pharma services, CROs, digital pathology, histology, diagnostics, life-sciences tools, healthcare, or another technical B2B market. •  Experience marketing to scientists, R&D teams, pathologists, biotech/pharma organizations, AI companies, or research institutions. •  Experience with account-based marketing, paid media, marketing attribution, enrichment/intent platforms, or AI-assisted lead-scoring and personalization tools.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by the quality and consistency of HistoWiz marketing execution and, more importantly, by its commercial impact (revenue growth quarter over quarter): stronger awareness in priority markets, growth in qualified inbound and campaign-generated opportunities, improved funnel conversion, increased engagement and organic visibility, better conference and webinar follow-through, and measurable productivity gains from thoughtfully deployed AI and automation.
