About the role
Job Title: Mechanical Technician II Compensation: $39.94/hr – $45.93/hr Location: Carlsbad, NM Schedule: Monday–Friday (5/2), 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, 30-minute lunch break Scope Manage fleet operations, including overseeing the TransDev shop. Primary Job Functions * Oversee 60 pool vehicles and their maintenance * Assist with overseeing approximately 700 field vehicles, including maintenance and repair health * Maintain and update records for field and office vehicles: past-due PMs, telematics, windshield repairs, fuel cards, safety inspections, and other items as needed * Maintain and oversee oil changes, maintenance, and washes for pool vehicles and other assigned or departmental vehicles as needed * Coordinate and schedule vehicle repairs for field offices * Oversee Traka system faults and repairs * Perform walk-arounds of pool vehicles to ensure safe operating order * Maintain and coordinate telematics device replacement * Assist with Holman ARI fuel PIN numbers for field and office * Coordinate vehicle movement * Receive and inspect vehicles for remarketing and incoming new vehicles * Other vehicle porter duties as required
Additional Notes * Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office * General vehicle knowledge * Ability to multitask * 3–5 years of experience (preferred, not required)
