Job Description
What You’ll Do:
* Safely restrain pets and assist with patient triage. * Collect samples and process laboratory tests. * Assist with diagnostic imaging and radiographs. * Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized patients. * Administer medications and monitor patient progress. * Prepare patients for surgery and assist during procedures. * Support anesthesia administration and monitoring. * Communicate with clients about medical histories and treatment plans.
Qualifications
We’re Looking For:
* At least one year of Veterinary Assistant experience is required. * Previous anesthesia experience is required. * Strong pet-handling and restraint skills. * A compassionate, calm, team-oriented approach. * Excellent communication and multitasking abilities. * Experience with sample collection, laboratory testing, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a plus. * A self-starter eager to learn and grow professionally.
Candidates must have at least one year of Veterinary Assistant experience and prior anesthesia experience. This hands-on role requires working with animals, standing for extended periods, and potential exposure to animal waste, odors, noise, bites, scratches, and infectious diseases.
Additional Information
Pay Range: $17-$20/hr
