FindAJobAI vs Jobscan: a résumé scanner or a job-matching assistant?
Jobscan and FindAJobAI both compare your résumé with job descriptions, but they start from opposite ends. Jobscan starts with a job you have already found: you paste the ad, scan your résumé against it and work through the gaps it reports. FindAJobAI starts with your CV: it reads new postings from 15,000+ company career boards in the US and Europe, scores each one 0–100 against your CV, and tailors your CV and cover letter for the jobs you choose.
So the useful question is where your time goes. If finding jobs is easy and you want a careful check of each application, Jobscan is built for exactly that. If you also lose hours searching, or you want the forms filled in, FindAJobAI covers more of the process. Both have gaps, listed below with prices checked on 31 October 2026.

Where Jobscan is stronger
A focused scanner. Jobscan is organised around one task: comparing a résumé with a job description and showing what is missing, with free side tools (a résumé score, a LinkedIn scan, templates) around it. For a line-by-line check of one important application, a dedicated scanner is the natural fit.
LinkedIn. Jobscan checks LinkedIn profiles as well. FindAJobAI has nothing for LinkedIn, so if recruiters mostly find you there, that part stays with Jobscan or another tool.
Any job, from anywhere. Because you paste the job in, Jobscan works with postings from any website. FindAJobAI’s matches only cover jobs we read from company career boards and our other sources, though you can paste any job into our free CV score.
A free monthly allowance. Third-party reviews put Jobscan’s free plan at 5 scans a month. Our free tools need no account at all, but tailored CVs and cover letters are only on the paid plans.
Where FindAJobAI is different
It finds the jobs. Instead of starting from one ad, FindAJobAI scores each new posting that fits your target roles and locations, and explains the score with the reasons and the gaps.
Tailoring with guard rails. For a job you pick, it rewrites your CV but keeps your section order, your skills grouping and your summary. Bullets that don’t need to change stay exactly as they were, and it won’t add a skill or a claim you don’t have. A cover letter comes with it.
The form, filled in. The free Chrome extension fills application forms on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Workday and iCIMS, plus common fields on most other sites. It never submits anything: you check every answer and press Submit.
Price. Standard costs $14.99 a month, less than a third of Jobscan Premium’s monthly price in third-party reviews. Our Pro plan, at $49.00, costs about what Jobscan Premium does and adds a larger AI and interview allowance.

FindAJobAI
- Standard: $14.99 a month, with every feature
- Pro: $49.00 a month; Max: $99.00 a month. Both add a bigger monthly AI and interview allowance
- Standard’s daily limits: up to 4 tailored CVs and 4 cover letters, 40 AI-scored matches and 25 extension autofills
- No account needed for the CV score checker and the free job search tools; tailored CVs and cover letters are on the paid plans

Month to month, Jobscan Premium costs $49.95 according to third-party reviews, and its 3-month plan works out at $29.98 a month: still about twice our Standard price of $14.99. Pro and Max raise the allowances rather than unlock features, so most people start on Standard.
How to switch from Jobscan
- Check one job first: paste a job ad and your current résumé into the free CV score. No account is needed, and you can compare the result with Jobscan’s report.
- Sign up and upload the same CV (PDF or Word), then choose your target roles, locations and where you’re allowed to work.
- Open your matches, pick a job that scores well and generate the tailored CV and cover letter. Read both before you use them.
- Install the extension, open the application and let it fill the form. Review it and press Submit yourself.
- If you stop using Jobscan, cancel before the next billing date, since refunds are only considered within 2 days of a charge.
Frequently asked questions
Does FindAJobAI do the same résumé scan as Jobscan?
Partly. The free CV score compares your CV with any job ad and gives a 0–100 match plus the missing keywords, without an account. FindAJobAI doesn’t check LinkedIn profiles or offer templates; its main job is finding and scoring new jobs, then tailoring your CV for the ones you choose.
How much does Jobscan cost compared with FindAJobAI?
Third-party reviews list Jobscan Premium at $49.95 a month or $89.95 per 3 months. FindAJobAI Standard is $14.99 a month, Pro $49.00 and Max $99.00 a month. All were checked on 31 October 2026; prices change, so check before you buy.
Will FindAJobAI apply to jobs for me, like Jobscan’s Auto Apply?
No. The FindAJobAI extension fills in the application, and you review every answer and press Submit yourself. Jobscan’s own site says its Auto Apply also asks you to review each application before it is sent.
Is it worth paying for both Jobscan and FindAJobAI?
Usually not at the same time. If your problem is finding good jobs, start with matching and tailoring; if you have a few high-stakes applications, a dedicated scanner may be enough. Our free CV score and Jobscan’s free scans let you try the checking side without paying for either.
