Frequently asked questions
What should a job description include?
A clear job title, a short summary of the role and team, the main responsibilities, the must-have requirements, a few nice-to-haves, the pay range and benefits, where the work happens, and how the hiring process works. Each template on these pages follows that order.
How long should a job description be?
Long enough to answer what a good candidate needs to know to decide, and no longer: most fit on one or two screens. Six to eight responsibilities and a short list of real requirements beat a long wish list, which tends to put off qualified people who don't tick every box.
Can I use these templates in my own job ads?
Yes. Copy a template, replace everything in [brackets] with your details, and cut what doesn't apply. The FindAJobAI team wrote them by hand for each role; the skills and pay figures shown next to them come from live job ads and change as the market does.
Where do the skills and pay figures come from?
From job ads FindAJobAI collects from company career pages and job boards. Skill shares count how many of the newest ads for a role mention each skill; pay figures are the base salaries employers advertise, not total compensation. Roles without enough ads don't show them.
